My dream Job

As I chart my future career course, I find myself drawn to the role of an editorial designer, and I couldn't be more excited about the journey ahead.

In my dream job as an editorial designer, I envision working with renowned publishing houses or magazines, crafting visually captivating layouts and designs for print and digital media. I picture myself immersed in the world of typography, color schemes, and the perfect blend of text and imagery that makes content come alive on the page or screen.

To excel in this field, I recognize the need for a diverse skill set. Proficiency in graphic design software like Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to understand and enhance the tone and message of written content are crucial. Additionally, staying updated with design trends is a must to create fresh and engaging layouts.

Salary-wise, I aim for a competitive package that reflects my expertise and the value I bring to the creative process. Compensation is important, but the satisfaction of turning concepts into visual masterpieces is my primary motivation.

Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Graphic Design. This major equips me with the artistic and technical skills essential for my dream job. The blend of creativity and practical knowledge is precisely what drew me to this field.

In conclusion, my dream job as an editorial designer is not just about crafting beautiful layouts; it's about being a part of storytelling through visuals and making content more engaging and impactful. It's a journey of creativity, skill, and passion, and I'm ready to embrace it wholeheartedly.

WHY DID I CHOOSE MY MAJOR?

Hello everyone, I am in my second year of design, I decided to study this in the last year of my school. When I was little I always liked to make crafts, make small houses and cardboard models. I always wondered what one had to study to build small houses, I asked the adults, they answered me that I had to study architecture. I assumed that I wanted to study that, until I realized that I hated math and geometry, and I really liked history. I became interested in studying law, but after a while I understood that it was just an idea and that in reality that was not going to make me happy. After a winter vacation, I went to visit my uncles in the city of La Serena, I had a conversation with them and I managed to understand what I really wanted to do, and I came to the conclusion that I wanted to study design. When I applied, my only option was to enter design, since I was not interested in another. Lately I have been doing well in online classes, but I always wonder what it woul...

The best holydays ever.

One of the most remarkable holidays of my life took place in Florianópolis, Brazil, during the summer of 2017. It was a 10-day getaway that left me with cherished memories.       I ventured to this stunning island destination with my family. Our days were filled with a mix of relaxation and adventure. We basked in the sun on the pristine beaches of Jurere and Campeche, surfed on the island's renowned waves, and explored the historical and cultural richness of the city center.       What made this holiday exceptional was the unique blend of natural beauty and vibrant culture. The breathtaking sunsets, the delicious Brazilian cuisine, and the warm-hearted locals all contributed to making it the best vacation I've ever had.       I've included some photos to capture the essence of our trip. I can't wait to read about my classmates' experiences  and share my thoughts with them. Also, I'm eagerly awaiting our teacher's insights i...
